The KYOTO Project has started with the Kick-off meeting at the VU University Amsterdam on March 17-18, 2008.

KYOTO has two major goals:
  • a (minimal) system that works for the users with respect to knowledge management and deep semantic search AND can be used by others after the life-time of the project.
  • technology and research results that advance the state-of-the-art A first baseline system has already been set up by IRION with the data provided by ECNC and WWF. The demo can be accessed on: http://demo.irion.nl/kyoto.
